What's New for 2026

The 2026 Kia Carnival MPV advances with careful updates that improve the ownership experience. This year offers refined trim levels: LX, LXS, EX, SX, and SX Prestige. Drivers in Jefferson City will value the upgraded Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control with Machine Learning, now for several trims. The Dark Edition Package stays available for a more unique look, and interior improvements provide passengers with premium comfort on all trips.

Performance and Efficiency

The 2026 Kia Carnival MPV is equipped with a robust 3.5-liter six-cylinder engine that delivers 287 horsepower. This naturally aspirated engine uses direct and port injection, along with a hydraulic lash adjuster, to ensure smooth and reliable performance. It pairs efficiently with an eight-speed automatic transmission that features H-Matic shift and drive mode options, giving drivers the ability to tailor their driving experience. For families traveling from Knoxville, TN, the front-wheel drive system offers confident handling across various road conditions. Fuel efficiency remains practical, with EPA ratings of 18 MPG in the city, 25 MPG on the highway, and 21 MPG combined, supported by a 19.0-gallon fuel tank.

Interior Comfort and Versatility

Explore the 2026 Kia Carnival MPV, a vehicle crafted with family comfort at its core. It can seat seven or eight passengers, depending on the layout. The second row features removable 40-20-40 split-bench seats with manual recline and tumble-forward features, while the fixed 60-40 split-bench third row reclines manually and folds flat into the floor to create more cargo space. Bean Station residents will benefit from the dual-zone front automatic climate control and rear HVAC system with independent controls, ensuring comfort for all passengers in any season.

Premium materials enhance the interior experience across all trim levels. The LX has quality cloth seats, while the LXS and higher trims upgrade to artificial leather. The top-tier SX Prestige provides genuine leather seats with leatherette backings. Some models feature interior trim with simulated wood inserts, piano black accents, and chrome details. Heated front seats are standard on LXS and above, with the SX and SX Prestige adding ventilated seats for added comfort in warm weather.

Exterior Design

The 2026 Kia Carnival MPV features a bold exterior that defies traditional minivan aesthetics. It measures 203.0 inches in length, with a 121.7-inch wheelbase and a width of 78.5 inches, giving it a commanding road presence. Families from White Pine will appreciate the auto on/off LED headlamps equipped with auto-leveling and auto high-beam functions that light the way. The body-colored, power-heated side mirrors with turn signal indicators enhance the seamless design. Wheel options vary from 17-inch alloy wheels on base trims to eye-catching 19-inch black or machine-finished alloy wheels on higher trims. An available dual sunroof, with sliding glass panels for the first and second rows, creates a spacious, airy interior.

Advanced Safety Features

The 2026 Carnival MPV by Kia features extensive safety technology designed to safeguard your most valuable cargo. All models come equipped with Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, and Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist. The Driver Monitoring Alert ensures driver attentiveness, while the Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance enhances reversing safety. The airbag system includes dual front airbags, side airbags mounted on the front seats, curtain airbags for all three rows, and a driver knee airbag. Drivers from Kingsport, TN, will appreciate the Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go and Curve Control, making highway driving less tiring. Higher trims also offer Evasion Assist, Front Cross Traffic Mitigation, and an Aerial View Camera System for additional awareness.

Technology and Connectivity

The 2026 Kia Carnival MPV offers a wide range of technology features to keep families connected. All trims come with a 12.3-inch audio display that includes navigation, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, and Bluetooth with voice recognition. Passengers can stay online with Wi-Fi hotspot capability, while USB ports and media connections keep devices charged. Upgraded models like the SX and SX Prestige have an eight-speaker sound system and passenger talk cabin intercom. The top-tier SX Prestige adds a 12-speaker Bose audio system with an external amplifier and subwoofer, along with an available dual-screen entertainment system for rear seats. Modern convenience is also provided by Smart Device Proximity Key technology and remote start via the key fob.
